I just got word that one of the most talented and innovative designers of our generation has passed. Geniuses come in all facets of life, and Mcqueen was a true genius in his craft. From creativing off the wall designs (the armadillo shoes, ball gowns made of live flowers, etc.) to having relative commercial success (skull scarves, gaga's bad romance), one thing is for sure Mcqueen never ceases to shock and amaze us. Without Mcqueen there to astound us with each new collection, today, the fashion world has just got a little bleaker.
