This is soo unlike me, as I am the most frugal (CHEAP) person on the planet. A trait that I have inheirited from my lovely mother. My favorite places to shop? Dollar Sundays outside of a vintage store called Jet Rag and Costco. But no, this time will be different. I've been doing nothing but saving up my money for the past two years and I am going to (dare I say it?) SPURLGE! Just the thought of it makes my heart race a little. Now, the only thing stopping me (not to mention, causing me the anxiety) are the admissions decisions!! Oh, how I want May to be over..</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">When it comes to handbags, I adhere to a very utilitarianistic mentality. That means bigger bags for everyday use and smaller ones (yes that includes fanny packs. I am a proud owner of one) for events such as concerts. And a bag with a longer strap for across the body action is a must. I am constantly thinking which bag will not only bring me the most practicality but also maximize my happiness? I don't quite think that this was what John Stuart Mill had intended when he came up with his philosophies.. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">When I was younger, I always imagined my first major piece to be the Marc Jacobs Stam, but now that I think about it, I don't see how practical using a chunky gold chain for straps can be. I I've never been a fan of monogram bags or extremely iconic bags such as the chanel 2.55 or the balenciega motorcycle. ( Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love those bags, but I can never see myself being important enough to trot one acoss LA.) After months of painstakingly researching all the different types of bags that the fashion gods could offer, I finally narrowed down my options to just two.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial, serif;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial, serif;">Alexander Wang Diego Bag</span></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPNYsTp7xTJA17MsbDGD8tj6QDSCAMQ8JctEdnf9_50sxE9_k20pGiOsN63B9M_0rrdE-bMjQGXS7mH9GkaMZehdthZ8FL8FnKTJWquF8qRa2g8lvMTSqptvkqAnjgCyQvMqadJj4Dc5U/s400/main_16884_diegobucketbag-grey-1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469291402373358850" /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><div style="text-align: center;">The successor to the extremely popular Rocco duffel bag of last year. And trust me, I went completely nuts over it the minute I saw Mary-Kate Olsen carrying one well before it hit the stores. (tyical MK right?) The compostion of the pebbled leather and the chunky gold pyramid studs at the bottom was enough to make me salivate. But the fact that it did not have a longer strap was its only fault. Thankfully, A. Wang had some sense to release the Diego bag, It has the most coveted features of the Rocco with the addition of the cross body strap! I did not think that I would like the bucket shape, but I am actually smitten by it. (Somehow, I feel like I'm the last person find this out) In fact, a lot of her editorials feature her other half. After the initial wave of shock and jealously left me, I actually find them to be quite a fitting match. So perfectly bohemian and luxe. Also I was reading an interview, where a reporter asked her about her Fendi fur, in which she replied that her boyfriend's mother gifted it to her. (Uh, you mean Yoko Ono?! By for that brief moment in time, trying a new look makes all the difference in the world. (jade green nails and turquoise eyeliner anyone?) This spring season, I know I will be incorporating coral/fushia lipstick and neon nail varnish into my ever expanding (rather embarrassing) makeup stash. However, even though beauty trends come and go, we all have our favorite makeup: the ones that have stood the test of time. Here are some of my perennial beauty must haves:</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">1) Loreal's Go Clean 360</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Even though I just started using this face cleanser, I am absolutely infatuated by it! The little scrublet that pops out of the bottle is probably the neatest thing and a does a fantastic job at cleansing my face. But a word of advice when you are first using this, you might experience some breakouts in the beginning but that's only because the little scrublet is bringing all the bacteria up to the surface and once that is gone, it will clean your face like nothing else. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">2) Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I used to think that I didn't need to moisturize my already oily skin. But boy was I wrong. The Clinique moisturizing gel is espescially designed for oily/combination skin and has worked wonders on improving the feel of my skin. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">3) Stila Smudge Pot in Black</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I have never been a big fan of pencil eyeliner and liquid eyeliner is just a big mess. It was not until I came across gel eyeliner, more specifically stila's smudge pot, when I started wearing eye make up. (I only put this on my upper lash line not on the water line) I have used this since sophomore year of high school and have repurchased it since then. I have also have it in other colors including violet (which I LOVE!) and Stila's famous Kitten which is a champagne shade. I know there are also other (more inexpensive) alternatives to this gel eyeliner but I swear that once this stuff is on, it doesn't smudge all day!</span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">4) Mac Lipstick in Honey Love</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I love my deep red/ berry lipsticks like nobody's business. But I find that they are not as universally appealing as I had imagined them to be. Let's face it, sometimes I don't want to draw the attention (espescially when I have a breakout) to my face! On those days, I usually wear a neutral lip color or nude lipstick. Honey Love by Mac is the perfect nude pink color. And it's also a matte finish which can be drying sometimes, but I love it.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">5) Benefit That Gal Primer</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Benefit has to be one of the sweetest makeup company around. This primer not only makes foundation stay on longer, it has illuminating shimmer (teeny tiny ones) so you can dab it on over your makeup as a highlight. You are simply static, motionless. These past few weeks have been like that for me. I just came to the realization that I've been stuck in the same routine, day in and day out. It gets boring at times, not to mention lonely. I always think that somewhere, off in another universe, we're repeating the same day over and over again, and fully aware of it. Oh, let me tell the story of my most eventful evening. Last Friday, I went to a Metricat concert at the Palladium with some college buddies. We had seen them once before and they always play such a fantastic show! Like always, we were really excited for the show, but the night quickly turned into one of the most bizarre/worst nights of my life. To keep the details short, people fainted, fights broke out, illegal substances were used.(Not on my part, I swear!) and it all ended with me getting into a car accident. Ya..It was very minor. A girl rear-ended me in the middle of Hollywood Blvd. In which I made her get out of her car in one of the busiest streets in LA. But thankfully, everyone and every car came out of it ok. At this moment in time, I'm counting down the days to Spring Break where I'll be on the East Coast. I don't even care if my mom is shipping me off so she can have a little vacation in Hawaii, nope. I'm going to be off spending my week getting lost in new york city visiting friends, spending time with my older sister in Baltimore, and eating, lots and lots of eating. I don't know why bit I have such an infatuation with food and culture. Much more so than fashion. </span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">CURRENTLY:</span></b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">1)Wanting to watch "Adam." You can literally walk up and down this entire boulevard and not find a single bad restaurant. (well maybe there's one but I haven't encountered any yet) Anyway I had the pleasure of dining at a place that I've wanted to go for ages, The Little Door, and the wait was absolutely worth it. You see, what initially attracted me to go here, instead of any other restaurant in the city was the fact that not a lot of people actually know about. It is not owned by some over publicized celebrity nor is it housed in a swanky club environment like some of its LA counterparts. (think Dolce, Geisha House, Koi, Mastros to name a few) AND the most appealing part a.k.a definate winning quality in my book? There is no sign on the resaturant not like the little door cafe next door. Nope. The restaurant itself is just A LITTLE DOOR! Oh my god. I'm in love with gimmicky things like this.</span></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 234px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3UQDAZgmyr7B6ad1ppQ1KzxICHn0W91xB9D-Zix790l_rpmUCJkfSn8tcraGsFPcNFl9JQf8jJAY47aPXvPrk1FrdiIr5NzDCEdySPrF-zgryXpHV1KLTNAzc18BulfWkXKNrMSxEl8Y/s400/l-2.jpeg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451115591433273714" /><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">It literally makes my day. I almost walked right past it trying to find a door, only to have a strange man ask me if I was going to the little door and have him open said door for me. It was right in</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"> front of me this whole time! So great.</span></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCRR_cYvKnKHRIeVv3cfwCnR8G8sR0b3pCYWt8s92oZcWjoW0k-Of4xaQE2NoHDHYrJWZwucthY2mBWaCcm4hKxetpzbq-mUxcMs8z4crXa_FsoU71DCLfprb4dt-9zUsACqBLBufvhxQ/s400/l-1.jpeg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451115587083857234" /><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">The ambience was out of this world. It was like being transported into a chic little outdoor villa in Cannes or Greece somewhere. (it truly felt like that! although I've never been to said places) But each different sitting place has its own theme so there was a lot to look at. Enough about the decor, I came for the food and it did not disappoint. Word of advice: YOU NEED TO try the Pistachio encrusted New Zealand snapper. yes it's a little pricey but this thing just melts on your taste buds. SO GOOD. Everything else we had, from the soup (made from cauliflower and teragon puree, I think) to the scallops to the vanilla creme brulee was heavenly. Even the bread they put out as an appetizer was the best bread that has ever laid in my mouth. Oh, I can just dream about this place forever..</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; I must admit, I am not usually the biggest fan of Italian food (but that'a only because I don't go out of my way to go to good Italian restaurants. lets see I've been to Bucca Di Beppo's once, Olive Garden maybe twice, and </span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">well</span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"> there is Pizza Hut..but that's pretty much where my Italian culinary experiences take me. My sister did study abroad in Italy for six months so she obviously has a more refined palatte than I do. "you have never tried </span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">real Italian</span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"> food until you've been to Italy." haha) Anyway what blew me away about Mama D's was not necessarily the food but the customer service. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE was out of this world. I don't think I have ever experienced a place more inviting, more friendly, and just plain more </span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">family </span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">(not an adjective but it works!) than this one right here. My own grandmother's kitchen does not even compare to the level of coziness that this place exudes. </span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">Sorry Gma! haha. </span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">When we first walked in, servers came up and offered complimentary samples, the waitress asked US for our names and was soo incredibly nice, i almost felt guilty. The host even put coins into the meter our parking. Clearly their attention to service was beyond impressive. But how does their food compare to their excellent service? Well despite my extremely limited knowledge in Italian food, I LOVED the food. I REALLY DO. Everything that I had just tasted so fresh. I mean when I was eating mozarella, it's legit </span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">mozarella. </span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">It was just so refreshing to eat food that is made from not a lot of ingredients but everything is just so well made. I'm getting so hungry just writing this. And now I will take you on a culinary journey through crappy phones once again. (This is the last time I will do this!)</span></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5wNtslmnZF9xLfNG-6Oh0vEzhVW5BT3Js6EHMLKk_TEZNb4foI_wdWECgzZDgtcForMd3J5ySfAor-zRhJVi4-2LySY6MCWBxaROHnyiDa_ZFFbu6HZF3uNJiyXd24V6v9V9vI7HoLM4/s400/IMG01104-20100226-1917.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442960006631876402" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRqXhp7SfqWr-LMbvBWdDUL3Y-wVj4YmMAHCDwB9lg2LODc2lDy7txx_p7RqSjn2aN7gw-a4J_YBBEommJdkHMAMvA5PpnqZkgbegmfkq0XAu3YuyMDWrNjAFq3W1KhCJkqd0IDaLchPE/s400/IMG01105-20100226-1917.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442960020127445890" /><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtqINgaYGqQ1YcWLaU-qsusQInVM16r_ovpbDIgcvSwlooaHsqQo2AJ43EXBm31kSlpSebU25BKJ2PKQjHf61rt34Cv6HypasaBTtDdzPgOx2Slp3YiB9fzQRuuUh6I0F6aG5RrdkCGfY/s400/IMG01099-20100226-1841.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5442959346315880290" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">we even received a complimentary dish because it was our first time there. Its inviting enough so that you can stroll in wet and grimy after a day of sand and surf. The food is good and cheap, the portions are reasonable, and what's more impressive is that it truly gives a vibe of being in your family's kitchen. Everybody cares, which is a refreshing attitude compared to a lot of restaurants in Los Angeles. Did I mention you even get a free meal when it's your birthday! (which I wished i knew because mine just passed! ugh. but i did go to a very special post which i will write about in a future post.) So, if you're ever in the borough of manhattan beach, or newport, or Hermosa in southern california, Mama D's is a truly a dime in a dozen.</span></div>The Fashion Foolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11566302267329758109noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-420853246278944675.post-15650560212686395082010-02-20T15:44:00.001-08:002010-02-20T16:01:13.804-08:00Alexa Chung for Madewell: the perfect marriage<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 229px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWXMB6oavK6RdmF8s_jotzvU8Qhttto0auPHzNWWtzHHd2yEdVKCOXgME0XUXbDKRdg2uKiICdiNOMxqK_1ur51_Bkjj-dNrjK5F2InZXRLK85PbUPd-AzPWORwCHXD00abymC1Y5d7No/s400/18032_334289534151_22616629151_4988563_737336_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440475927249729058" /><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">wow I get reeally creative with my titles these days don't i? when i first heard about this collab, i was like is this too good to be true? Now I have a secret to share: I am the absolute worst at directions (it's no secret if you knew me, I have trouble telling left from right), so after spending about an hour and a half circling my friend's campus, (it really should not have taken this long!), needless to say I was starving. Usually when we go to lunch in 3rd St, we usually go to Toast, another one of those typical "LA" eateries where the point of the place is to sit outside so you can people watch and play "spot the celebrity incognito." But this time we decided to try Joan's on Third, and my, was it a sight for sore eyes. It is the worst place to be when you are hungry as I was because being a semi marketplace, they put the smorgasbord of food on display yet the line always take forever! But the longer the line is, the better the food! And Joan's on Third surely does NOT disappoint. For a self-appointed veteran foodie like myself, that is saying something. ha.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg50gsdhzwaJRZxbPUkuHAF1OoQWZ88j5YXb3uCrW9S7KHiCvAl14BH-3yn05Gs3XWRIgMBjrulVP23DyKHcR50LoeZqM1mHt1qxVV90Sn6ALBg0SB05K9k1IDyvAJDdTjCpjjv7wSm3Oo/s400/P2140141.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438351697339334450" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw1v7qql4tx3DA9k0q0y6kOJH4aOIvXSYV4iS8pw-N9BLhh7UJLx_C0RZOQZmOtwPFljOttsQJVDVD2QQVxX6w6nKtc3FpKZnSpuH_nCZCIfNilGwuXuRYOKP7FRBVM-Jd_ivKTUjMfNg/s400/IMG01067-20100214-1454.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438280567684415714" /><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">all the food that was on display while we were waiting! thank god I'm poor or else I would have kept adding and adding on...</span></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHadL1MWyLbqVJ-TrD-7MVlPxhx1QnjjL-T6HfTtYLw8wF4V4i63aEtm9GlFcilwcwNOoYLNVhPwECbYMHNnHBBpSF0kQ9p9KyOI9jnB1zfoPPeJaGDzvlvuXDDTuGa2sxLoaS_DIoSdk/s400/P2140148.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438351725187107986" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY1-o0M85VjHBeQCYQa6FH15UUeEfhvdMyW5Ub1CoWh1PVPaIspnMx-lthe8ZAuyWUATA3KEm6XohpSBxZ5jflXLrlS65AGgFRxyg1ONG3pO9ii4w8zWKfZfzTbKXB0WGqnDB_kXds2vk/s400/P2140144.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438351715772246706" /><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">grilled vegetables+goat cheese on a french baguette. mm mm good</span></div><div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzhUvOw0JSwqe9P8Rxp7-nkkWOCuop6XV2Z9J6ThZt1He363bwbz-DEjwEc4ZpJPFGRbltor5C4EFBZjr1jXq4OnThr29i8UUaoHxowMQoJovbc25FayEoufpKJr37jzrjSuHn3fFBZks/s1600-h/P2140146.JPG" style="text-decoration: none;"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzhUvOw0JSwqe9P8Rxp7-nkkWOCuop6XV2Z9J6ThZt1He363bwbz-DEjwEc4ZpJPFGRbltor5C4EFBZjr1jXq4OnThr29i8UUaoHxowMQoJovbc25FayEoufpKJr37jzrjSuHn3fFBZks/s400/P2140146.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438352460959212626" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">friend's grilled cheese+tomato and lemonade tea</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtKSP1YVXS6PAfnQYafz5JlpfL40xPIfDDjB2FoVyjc0pgHr09cmrTgYpooWEt3BniAnhFcrYTyo61zs4uZpSOh3_UVs0bJ6d4sJWXpOv-Zu_hqNyNCgpWc5noq2CvjX-XlBdCQWCaiU4/s400/P2140142.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438351711140412770" /><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">the cute cow motif extended outside</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2NLbu1-itTpA4OQW2SzuRp8AFvBxgB41HFbAdt8o1gj5QwicAbC4WgAQblRMOrXl7hfboJHSYrrXymW5C_hC3Lkd817fcyQ1VB_7-UvHsWbfqGkNegt9SFLCI0LS_twQVInDPKMmB71k/s400/IMG01069-20100214-1530.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438280573801545650" /><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">an entire side of Joan's is dedicated to desserts! and it is to die for...</span></div></div><div><br /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhl7IIahipzsPwZQri-5ZbheoDZe91nZTmhtRZl9qbohIahPkFoLZBjCvgi18mIPAwBDnlN78keaik4_FEuRJkT3PauNb-Yfwi5gAqf5z3dubUQk682XjeZTL8wUPd367ylCT39bA7FV3s/s400/IMG01068-20100214-1528.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438279655766127170" /><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">quite possibly the best cupcakes ever? coconut+vanilla w/ raspberry filling. ohh my gawd. Geniuses come in all facets of life, and Mcqueen was a true genius in his craft. From creativing off the wall designs (the armadillo shoes, ball gowns made of live flowers, etc.) to having relative commercial success (skull scarves, gaga's bad romance), one thing is for sure Mcqueen never ceases to shock and amaze us. Without Mcqueen there to astound us with each new collection, today, the fashion world has just got a little bleaker. </span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'courier new', -webkit-fantasy;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'courier new', -webkit-fantasy;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><b>R.I.P.
