CBM:dustin hoffman (circa 1976)

I feel like starting some fun segment that I can do from time to time. Right now, as I am studying (not really) for my film test, all I want to do is proclaim my love for dustin hoffman! so i shall start this little column aptly named CBM or cute boy of the moment. a word of warning, I usually fall for dapper leading men in vintage films (think gregory peck or cary grant yum!) or scruffy musician types from williamsburg (plaid shirts and the five o'clock shadow are typical characteristics). But my professor screened the classic coming of age movie "The Graduate" directed by Mike Nichols yesterday and of course I happened to missed it. Its no problem though as I've seen the movie probably about seven times and it never gets old. I absolutely LOVE dustin hoffman in this movie and his portrayal of the very awkward and sexually inept benjamin. This is definately one of my absolute favorite movies of ALL TIME. Plus, can I just add that the soundtrack is amazing?! Simon and Garfunkel have indeed stolen my heart with their beautiful, BEAUTIFUL music. (my other two favorite soundtracks: Harold and Maude [weird movie but Cat Stevens is a geenius] and Across the Universe [I actually like some of their versions better than the Beatles.] WHAT?! and might I add that I'm the biggest beatles fan in this PLANET.) They sure dont make them like these anymore. So for the first ever cute boy of the moment, presenting: Dustin Hoffman (way back in 1976)

Random tangent: while I'm on a rant of my favorite movies; I should note that some others I could watch over and over again are THE DEPARTED (ahh soo amazing. and I dont even like gangster films. LOVE!!), The Royal Tenenbaums, Fight Club (hello edward norton and brad pitt!), Charade (Audery Hepburn. enough said.), and all musicals.
